What it takes
First things first: There is a myth circulating about Internet Marketing that we need to discuss right now.
The myth is this: It’s impossible for the average Joe to make money on the Internet.
This is not true. Virtually anyone with a computer, an Internet connection, an email address, and two brain cells can make it. It takes time, effort and a lot persistence but it can be done. (If you are reading this I am pretty sure you have all these things!)
What it takes:
To be successful you’re are going to need some time, say at least 5 hours a week.
You will most likely need to be able spend $10-$30 a month to try different things.
If you don’t have either of these things then don’t bother with this tutorial.
You’ll be wasting your time.
Seriously.
While the potential for success is always there it doesn’t come easy. You will need to sacrifice your time to educate yourself on the many aspects of running an Internet business.
This is a bit like being back in school. There are many lessons to be learned. Your toughest job will be figuring out what information is correct and what information is crap.
The first lesson is this:
Every successful company and person out there makes a living by providing their customers with value.
Take any company whether it be Exxon or McDonald’s or Amazon.com: they all create their revenue by providing value for their customers. The day they stop providing value is the day they go out of business.
To be successful you will have to do the same.
If you’re not sure how to do this don’t worry; we’ll cover this in depth in future lessons. Just keep the idea in the back of your head while we go through future lessons.
